27 Rajab

Amaal Of Laylat al-Mab'ath (27TH Night)

The 27th night of Rajab is the night on which Prophet Muhammad was given the mission of promulgating the religion. This highly blessed night is called Laylat al-Mab’ath, which stands for the beginning of the Holy Prophet’s Mission of promulgating the true religion of Almighty Allah. The recommended rites of this night are as follows:

Prayer

Shaykh al-Tusi, in his book of Misbah al-Mutahajjid, has quoted Imam Muhammad al-Jawad (عليه السلام) as saying, “There is a night in Rajab, which carries for people fortune that is more preferable than whatever is subjected to sunlight. It is the twenty-seventh night of Rajab. The next morning was the beginning of the Holy Prophet’s prophethood. Verily, one who does acts of worship at this night will have the reward of one who has worshipped Almighty Allah for sixty years.” When the Imam (عليه السلام) was asked about the rites to be done at this night, he answered, “After you offer the Isha’ Prayer and take a nap and wake up at any hour before midnight. You may then offer a prayer of 12 rakat of 2 rakat each in which you may recite Surah al-Fātiḥah and any other easy Surah from al-Mufassal, which begins with Surah Muhammad (No. 47) up to the end of the Holy Qur’an. After completing this prayer, you should recite Surahs al-Fātiḥah, al-Falaq, al-Nas, al-Tawḥid, al-Kafirun, al-Qadr, and Ayah al-Kursi each 7 times. After this, you may recite the following supplication:

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَداً وَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ شَرِيكٌ فِي الْمُلْكِ وَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ وَلِيٌّ مِنَ الذُّلِّ وَ كَبِّرْهُ تَكْبِيراً اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ بِمَعَاقِدِ عِزِّكَ عَلَىٰ اَرْكَانِ عَرْشِكَ وَ مُنْتَهَى الرَّحْمَةِ مِنْ كِتَابِكَ وَ بِاسْمِكَ الْاَعْظَمِ الْاَعْظَمِ الْاَعْظَمِ وَ ذِكْرِكَ الْاَعْلَى الْاَعْلَىٰ الْاَعْلَىٰ وَ بِكَلِمَاتِكَ التَّامَّاتِ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ وَ اَنْ تَفْعَلَ بِي مَا اَنْتَ اَهْلُهُ.

You may then pray for your needs.

Ghusl

It is also recommended to bathe oneself at this night.

Prayer 2

It is worth reminding that a prayer that is advisably offered on this night has been mentioned with the amaal of the 15th night of Rajab (mentioned as follows):

It is recommended to offer another prayer consisting of twelve rakat of which in each rakat, Surahs of al-Fātiḥah, al-Tawḥīd, al-Falaq, al-Nas, al-Qadr, and Ayah al-Kursi should be recited four times each. After completing the prayer, one should recite the following four times:

اللّٰهُ اللّٰهُ رَبِّي لَا اُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئاً وَ لَا اَتَّخِذُ مِنْ دُونِهِ وَلِيّاً

One may then pray for their legitimate desires.

Sayyid Ibn Tawus has narrated this prayer in this form from Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (عليه السلام) although Shaykh al-Tusi, in Misbah al-Mutahajjid, has mentioned that Dawud ibn Sarhan narrated that Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq(عليه السلام) said the following:

On the 15th night of Rajab, you may offer a twelve rakat prayer in each rakat of which you may recite Surah al-Fātiḥah and any other Surah. When you finish, you may recite Surah al-Fātiḥah, al-Falaq, al-Nas, al-Tawḥīd, and Ayah al-Kursi each four times. After that, you may recite the following 4 times:

سُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ وَ اللّٰهُ اَكْبَرُ

Then, you may recite the following:

اللّٰهُ اللّٰهُ رَبِّي لَا اُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئاً وَ مَا شَاءَ اللّٰهُ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللّٰهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ.

Visit the shrine of Imam Ali (a.s)

The best act that is ever done at this night is to visit the holy tomb of Imam Ali ibn Abi-Talib (عليه السلام). As will be mentioned in the section of Ziyarat, three forms of Ziyarah will be recited for visiting the tomb of Imam Ali Ameer al-Momineen (عليه السلام) on this night.

Supplication

In al-Balad al-Amin, al-Kaf’ami has instructed the following:

Recite the following supplication on the Divine Mission Night:

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْأَلُكَ بِالتَّجَلِّي [بِالنَّجْلِ‏] الْاَعْظَمِ فِي هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ الْمُعَظَّمِ وَ الْمُرْسَلِ الْمُكَرَّمِ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ وَ اَنْ تَغْفِرَ لَنَا مَا اَنْتَ بِهِ مِنَّا اَعْلَمُ يَا مَنْ يَعْلَمُ وَ لَا نَعْلَمُ اَللّٰهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَنَا فِي لَيْلَتِنَا هَذِهِ الَّتِي بِشَرَفِ الرِّسَالَةِ فَضَّلْتَهَا وَ بِكَرَامَتِكَ اَجْلَلْتَهَا وَ بِالْمَحَلِّ الشَّرِيفِ اَحْلَلْتَهَا اَللّٰهُمَّ فَاِنَّا نَسْاَلُكَ بِالْمَبْعَثِ الشَّرِيفِ وَ السَّيِّدِ اللَّطِيفِ وَ الْعُنْصُرِ الْعَفِيفِ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ وَ اَنْ تَجْعَلَ اَعْمَالَنَا فِي هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ وَ فِي سَائِرِ اللَّيَالِي مَقْبُولَةً وَ ذُنُوبَنَا مَغْفُورَةً وَ حَسَنَاتِنَا مَشْكُورَةً وَ سَيِّئَاتِنَا مَسْتُورَةً وَ قُلُوبَنَا بِحُسْنِ الْقَوْلِ مَسْرُورَةً وَ اَرْزَاقَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ بِالْيُسْرِ مَدْرُورَةً اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنَّكَ تَرَى وَ لَا تُرَى وَ اَنْتَ بِالْمَنْظَرِ الْاَعْلَى وَ اِنَّ اِلَيْكَ الرُّجْعَى وَ الْمُنْتَهَى وَ اِنَّ لَكَ الْمَمَاتَ وَ الْمَحْيَا وَ اِنَّ لَكَ الْآخِرَةَ وَ الْاُولَى اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنَّا نَعُوذُ بِكَ اَنْ نَذِلَّ وَ نَخْزَى وَ اَنْ نَأْتِيَ مَا عَنْهُ تَنْهَى اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنَّا نَسْاَلُكَ الْجَنَّةَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ وَ نَسْتَعِيذُ بِكَ مِنَ النَّارِ فَاَعِذْنَا مِنْهَا بِقُدْرَتِكَ وَ نَسْاَلُكَ مِنَ الْحُورِ الْعِينِ فَارْزُقْنَا بِعِزَّتِكَ وَ اجْعَلْ اَوْسَعَ اَرْزَاقِنَا عِنْدَ كِبَرِ سِنِّنَا وَ اَحْسَنَ اَعْمَالِنَا عِنْدَ اقْتِرَابِ آجَالِنَا وَ اَطِلْ فِي طَاعَتِكَ وَ مَا يُقَرِّبُ اِلَيْكَ وَ يُحْظِي عِنْدَكَ وَ يُزْلِفُ لَدَيْكَ اَعْمَارَنَا وَ اَحْسِنْ فِي جَمِيعِ اَحْوَالِنَا وَ اُمُورِنَا مَعْرِفَتَنَا وَ لَا تَكِلْنَا اِلَى اَحَدٍ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ فَيَمُنَّ عَلَيْنَا وَ تَفَضَّلْ عَلَيْنَا بِجَمِيعِ حَوَائِجِنَا لِلدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ وَ ابْدَأْ بِآبَائِنَا وَ اَبْنَائِنَا وَ جَمِيعِ اِخْوَانِنَا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فِي جَمِيعِ مَا سَاَلْنَاكَ لِاَنْفُسِنَا يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنَّا نَسْاَلُكَ بِاسْمِكَ الْعَظِيمِ، وَ مُلْكِكَ الْقَدِيمِ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اَنْ تَغْفِرَ لَنَا الذَّنْبَ الْعَظِيمَ اِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الْعَظِيمَ إِلَّا الْعَظِيمُ اَللّٰهُمَّ وَ هٰذَا رَجَبٌ الْمُكَرَّمُ الَّذِي اَكْرَمْتَنَا بِهِ اَوَّلُ اَشْهُرِ الْحُرُمِ اَكْرَمْتَنَا بِهِ مِنْ بَيْنِ الْاُمَمِ فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ يَا ذَا الْجُودِ وَ الْكَرَمِ فَاَسْأَلُكَ بِهِ وَ بِاسْمِكَ الْاَعْظَمِ الْاَعْظَمِ الْاَعْظَمِ الْاَجَلِّ الْاَكْرَمِ الَّذِي خَلَقْتَهُ فَاسْتَقَرَّ فِي ظِلِّكَ فَلَا يَخْرُجُ مِنْكَ اِلَى غَيْرِكَ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ الطَّاهِرِينَ وَ اَنْ تَجْعَلَنَا مِنَ الْعَامِلِينَ فِيهِ بِطَاعَتِكَ وَ الْآمِلِينَ فِيهِ لِشَفَاعَتِكَ اَللّٰهُمَّ اهْدِنَا اِلَى سَوَاءِ السَّبِيلِ وَ اجْعَلْ مَقِيلَنَا عِنْدَكَ خَيْرَ مَقِيلٍ فِي ظِلٍّ ظَلِيلٍ وَ مُلْكٍ جَزِيلٍ فَاِنَّكَ حَسْبُنَا وَ نِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ اَللّٰهُمَّ اقْلِبْنَا مُفْلِحِينَ مُنْجِحِينَ غَيْرَ مَغْضُوبٍ عَلَيْنَا وَ لَا ضَالِّينَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْأَلُكَ بِعَزَائِمِ مَغْفِرَتِكَ وَ بِوَاجِبِ رَحْمَتِكَ السَّلَامَةَ مِنْ كُلِّ اِثْمٍ وَ الْغَنِيمَةَ مِنْ كُلِّ بِرٍّ وَ الْفَوْزَ بِالْجَنَّةِ وَ النَّجَاةَ مِنَ النَّارِ. اَللّٰهُمَّ دَعَاكَ الدَّاعُونَ وَ دَعَوْتُكَ وَ سَاَلَكَ السَّائِلُونَ وَ سَاَلْتُكَ وَ طَلَبَ اِلَيْكَ الطَّالِبُونَ وَ طَلَبْتُ اِلَيْكَ اَللّٰهُمَّ اَنْتَ الثِّقَةُ وَ الرَّجَاءُ وَ اِلَيْكَ مُنْتَهَى الرَّغْبَةِ فِي الدُّعَاءِ اَللّٰهُمَّ فَصَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ وَ اجْعَلِ الْيَقِينَ فِي قَلْبِي وَ النُّورَ فِي بَصَرِي وَ النَّصِيحَةَ فِي صَدْرِي وَ ذِكْرَكَ بِاللَّيْلِ وَ النَّهَارِ عَلَى لِسَانِي وَ رِزْقاً وَاسِعاً غَيْرَ مَمْنُونٍ وَ لَا مَحْظُورٍ فَارْزُقْنِي وَ بَارِكْ لِي فِيمَا رَزَقْتَنِي وَ اجْعَلْ غِنَايَ فِي نَفْسِي وَ رَغْبَتِي فِيمَا عِنْدَكَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ.

You may then prostrate and recite the following 100 times:

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي هَدَانَا لِمَعْرِفَتِهِ وَ خَصَّنَا بِوِلَايَتِهِ وَ وَفَّقَنَا لِطَاعَتِهِ شُكْراً شُكْراً

When you raise your head (i.e. finish the prostration), you may recite the following:

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي قَصَدْتُكَ بِحَاجَتِي وَ اعْتَمَدْتُ عَلَيْكَ بِمَسْاَلَتِي وَ تَوَجَّهْتُ اِلَيْكَ بِاَئِمَّتِي وَ سَادَتِي اَللّٰهُمَّ انْفَعْنَا بِحُبِّهِمْ وَ اَوْرِدْنَا مَوْرِدَهُمْ وَ ارْزُقْنَا مُرَافَقَتَهُمْ وَ اَدْخِلْنَا الْجَنَّةَ فِي زُمْرَتِهِمْ بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ

Sayyid Ibn Tawus has mentioned that this supplication is recited on the Divine Mission Day (i.e. the 27th of Rajab).

Amaal Of Day of al-Mab'ath (27TH Day)

This day is one of the great feast days. On this day, the Holy Prophet (صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم) was appointed for conveying the Divine Prophetic Mission when Archangel Gabriel first came to him with the Divine Revelation. Several rites are advisably practiced on this day. Some of them are as follows:

Ghusl

It is recommended to bathe oneself on this day.

Fast

It is recommended to observe fasting. In fact, this day is one of the four days that are dedicated to fasting in the whole year. The reward of observing fasting on this day is equal to 70 years of fasting.

Salawat

It is recommended to recite frequently the invocation of blessings upon Prophet Muhammad and his Household.

Visit shrines

It is recommended to visit the tombs of the Holy Prophet and Imam Ali, peace be upon them and their Household.

Prayer

In his book entitled Misbah al-Mutahajjid, Shaykh al-Tusi mentions that al-Rayyan ibn al-Salt is reported as saying that Imam Muhammad al-Jawad (عليه السلام) observed fasting on the fifteenth and the 27th of Rajab while he was in Baghdad. Following him, all of his followers observed fasting. He then ordered us to offer the prayer that consists of 12 rakat in each rakat of which Surah al-Fātiḥah and another Surah should be recited. At the completion of this prayer, it is recommended to recite Surahs al-Fātiḥah, al-Tawḥīd, al-Falaq, and al-Nas each for times. Then it is recommended to recite the following four times:

لَا اِلَهَ إِلَّا اَللّٰهُ وَ اَللّٰهُ اَكْبَرُ وَ سُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ وَ اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَ لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللّٰهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ

Then, it is recommended to repeat the following four times:

اَللّٰهُ اَللّٰهُ رَبِّي لَا اُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئاً

Then, it is recommended to say the following four times, too:

لَا اُشْرِكُ بِرَبِّي اَحَداً

Prayer 2

Shaykh al-Tusi has also reported Abu’l-Qasim Husayn ibn Ruh - may Allah have mercy upon him - as saying: On this day, you may offer a prayer consisting of 12 rakat (of 2 rakat each) in each rakat of which you may recite Surah al-Fātiḥah and any other Surah. After every 2 rakat, recite the following:

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَداً وَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ شَرِيكٌ فِي الْمُلْكِ وَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ وَلِيٌّ مِنَ الذُّلِّ وَ كَبِّرْهُ تَكْبِيراً يَا عُدَّتِي فِي مُدَّتِي يَا صَاحِبِي فِي شِدَّتِي يَا وَلِيِّي فِي نِعْمَتِي يَا غِيَاثِي فِي رَغْبَتِي يَا نَجَاحِي فِي حَاجَتِي يَا حَافِظِي فِي غَيْبَتِي يَا كَافِيَّ فِي وَحْدَتِي يَا اُنْسِي فِي وَحْشَتِي اَنْتَ السَّاتِرُ عَوْرَتِي فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ وَ اَنْتَ الْمُقِيلُ عَثْرَتِي فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ وَ اَنْتَ الْمُنْعِشُ صَرْعَتِي فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اسْتُرْ عَوْرَتِي وَ آمِنْ رَوْعَتِي وَ اَقِلْنِي عَثْرَتِي وَ اصْفَحْ عَنْ جُرْمِي وَ تَجَاوَزْ عَنْ سَيِّئَاتِي فِي اَصْحَابِ الْجَنَّةِ وَعْدَ الصِّدْقِ الَّذِي كَانُوا يُوعَدُونَ .

When you accomplish the prayer, you should recite Surahs al-Fātiḥah, al-Tawḥīd, al-Falaq, al-Nas, al-Kafirun, al-Qadr, and Ayah al-Kursi seven times. You should then repeat the following seven times:

لَا اِلَهَ إِلَّا اَللّٰهُ وَ اَللّٰهُ اَكْبَرُ وَ سُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ وَ لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللّٰهِ

You should then say the following 7 times:

اَللّٰهُ اَللّٰهُ رَبِّي لَا اُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئاً

After that, you may submit your needs.

Supplication

As is mentioned in Iqbal al-A’mal and some manuscripts of Misbah al-Mutahajjid, it is recommended to recite the following supplication on this day:

يَا مَنْ اَمَرَ بِالْعَفْوِ وَ التَّجَاوُزِ وَ ضَمَّنَ نَفْسَهُ الْعَفْوَ وَ التَّجَاوُزَ يَا مَنْ عَفَا وَ تَجَاوَزَ اعْفُ عَنِّي وَ تَجَاوَزْ يَا كَرِيمُ اَللّٰهُمَّ وَ قَدْ اَكْدَى الطَّلَبُ وَ اَعْيَتِ الْحِيلَةُ وَ الْمَذْهَبُ وَ دَرَسَتِ الْآمَالُ وَ انْقَطَعَ الرَّجَاءُ إِلَّا مِنْكَ وَحْدَكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَجِدُ سُبُلَ الْمَطَالِبِ اِلَيْكَ مُشْرَعَةً وَ مَنَاهِلَ الرَّجَاءِ لَدَيْكَ مُتْرَعَةً وَ اَبْوَابَ الدُّعَاءِ لِمَنْ دَعَاكَ مُفَتَّحَةً وَ الاسْتِعَانَةَ لِمَنِ اسْتَعَانَ بِكَ مُبَاحَةً وَ اَعْلَمُ اَنَّكَ لِدَاعِيكَ بِمَوْضِعِ اِجَابَةٍ وَ لِلصَّارِخِ اِلَيْكَ بِمَرْصَدِ اِغَاثَةٍ وَ اَنَّ فِي اللَّهْفِ اِلَى جُودِكَ وَ الضَّمَانِ بِعِدَتِكَ عِوَضاً مِنْ مَنْعِ الْبَاخِلِينَ. وَ مَنْدُوحَةً عَمَّا فِي اَيْدِي الْمُسْتَأْثِرِينَ وَ اَنَّكَ لَا تَحْتَجِبُ عَنْ خَلْقِكَ إِلَّا اَنْ تَحْجُبَهُمُ الْاَعْمَالُ دُونَكَ وَ قَدْ عَلِمْتُ اَنَّ اَفْضَلَ زَادِ الرَّاحِلِ اِلَيْكَ عَزْمُ اِرَادَةٍ يَخْتَارُكَ بِهَا وَ قَدْ نَاجَاكَ بِعَزْمِ الْاِرَادَةِ قَلْبِي وَ اَسْاَلُكَ بِكُلِّ دَعْوَةٍ دَعَاكَ بِهَا رَاجٍ بَلَّغْتَهُ اَمَلَهُ اَوْ صَارِخٌ اِلَيْكَ اَغَثْتَ صَرْخَتَهُ اَوْ مَلْهُوفٌ مَكْرُوبٌ فَرَّجْتَ كَرْبَهُ اَوْ مُذْنِبٌ خَاطِئٌ غَفَرْتَ لَهُ اَوْ مُعَافًى اَتْمَمْتَ نِعْمَتَكَ عَلَيْهِ اَوْ فَقِيرٌ اَهْدَيْتَ غِنَاكَ اِلَيْهِ وَ لِتِلْكَ الدَّعْوَةِ عَلَيْكَ حَقٌّ وَ عِنْدَكَ مَنْزِلَةٌ إِلَّا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ قَضَيْتَ حَوَائِجِي حَوَائِجَ الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ وَ هٰذَا رَجَبٌ الْمُرَجَّبُ الْمُكَرَّمُ الَّذِي اَكْرَمْتَنَا بِهِ اَوَّلُ اَشْهُرِ الْحُرُمِ اَكْرَمْتَنَا بِهِ مِنْ بَيْنِ الْاُمَمِ يَا ذَا الْجُودِ وَ الْكَرَمِ فَنَسْاَلُكَ بِهِ وَ بِاسْمِكَ الْاَعْظَمِ الْاَعْظَمِ الْاَعْظَمِ الْاَجَلِّ الْاَكْرَمِ الَّذِي خَلَقْتَهُ فَاسْتَقَرَّ فِي ظِلِّكَ فَلَا يَخْرُجُ مِنْكَ اِلَى غَيْرِكَ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ الطَّاهِرِينَ وَ تَجْعَلَنَا مِنَ الْعَامِلِينَ فِيهِ بِطَاعَتِكَ وَ الْآمِلِينَ فِيهِ بِشَفَاعَتِكَ. اَللّٰهُمَّ وَ اهْدِنَا اِلَى سَوَاءِ السَّبِيلِ وَ اجْعَلْ مَقِيلَنَا عِنْدَكَ خَيْرَ مَقِيلٍ فِي ظِلٍّ ظَلِيلٍ فَاِنَّكَ حَسْبُنَا وَ نِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ وَ السَّلَامُ عَلَىٰ عِبَادِهِ الْمُصْطَفَيْنَ وَ صَلَوَاتُهُ [صَلَاتُهُ‏] عَلَيْهِمْ اَجْمَعِينَ اَللّٰهُمَّ وَ بَارِكْ لَنَا فِي يَوْمِنَا هٰذَا الَّذِي فَضَّلْتَهُ وَ بِكَرَامَتِكَ جَلَّلْتَهُ وَ بِالْمَنْزِلِ [الْعَظِيمِ‏] الْاَعْلَى اَنْزَلْتَهُ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مَنْ فِيهِ اِلَى عِبَادِكَ اَرْسَلْتَهُ وَ بِالْمَحَلِّ الْكَرِيمِ اَحْلَلْتَهُ اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَيْهِ صَلَاةً دَائِمَةً تَكُونُ لَكَ شُكْراً وَ لَنَا ذُخْراً وَ اجْعَلْ لَنَا مِنْ اَمْرِنَا يُسْراً وَ اخْتِمْ لَنَا بِالسَّعَادَةِ اِلَى مُنْتَهَى آجَالِنَا وَ قَدْ قَبِلْتَ الْيَسِيرَ مِنْ اَعْمَالِنَا وَ بَلَّغْتَنَا بِرَحْمَتِكَ اَفْضَلَ آمَالِنَا اِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْ‏ءٍ قَدِيرٌ وَ صَلَّى اَللّٰهُ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ وَ سَلَّمَ .

It is worth mentioning that this supplication, which is one of the excellent supplications of Rajab, was recited by Imam Musa ibn Ja’far al-Kazim (عليه السلام) on the day when the ruling authorities took him to Baghdad. That day was the 27th of Rajab.

Supplication 2

As is mentioned in Iqbal al-A’mal, it is recommended to say the following supplication on this day:
