8 Rabī‘ al-Awwal
On the 8th of Rabī’ al-Awwal 260 AH, Imam al-Hasan al-’Askari (عليه السلام) departed life; and his son, Sahib al-Asr waz-Zamān (a.t.f.s), was appointed as the 12th Imam. It is thus appropriate to do Ziyarah of both of them on this day.
